General Provisions for the Mille Miglia Community
PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING GENERAL PROVISIONS (IN FUTURE REFERED TO BY THEIR ITALIAN INITIALS “DG”) CAREFULLY. THEY REGULATE THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF YOUR REGISTRATION WITH THE MILLE MIGLIA COMMUNITY. BY ACCEPTING THE FOLLOWING DG, YOU ARE RECOGNIZING AND ACCEPTING THE FACT THAT YOU WILL ABIDE BY THEM.

Art. 1 – Eligible Cars: Cars which have taken part in the original Mille Miglia speed race (1927-1957) or in at least one Mille Miglia revival.
Acceptance into the Community will be on the basis of documentary evidence demonstrating that the car belongs to at least one of the following categories:
A – Cars that have run in the original Mille Miglia speed race (1927-1957).
B – Cars that have taken part in at least one revival, and are models that ran in the original Mille Miglia speed race.
C – Cars that have taken part in at least one of the revivals in derogation to the rules.
All documentation must conform to the requirements stated in art.3 below.
Art. 2 – Registration Fees: The registration fees are set at € 1000.00 (including VAT) per car for one year (from the date of registration to December 31, 2009) and include the following:
- The coveted Mille Miglia Community Badge, depicting the legendary Freccia Rossa, which attests that the car has run in the original Mille Miglia and/or one of its revivals.
- Participation in Community activities.
- The option of entering the car for the Mille Miglia World Mosaic event.
- The OBU, satellite positioning device, which, once installed in the car, will allow its position to be transmitted on the websites www.1000miglia.eu and community.1000miglia.eu.
- The special gifts reserved for 1000milers, including an exclusive item of clothing and a white gold brooch
- A certificate of entry of the car
Payment of Registration or Renewal Fees can be made by:
- credit card online (using a secure server)
- a banker’s draft for € 1000,00 (VAT included), made payable to MAC Events S.r.l., which must be sent at the same time online registration is made, to MAC Events S.r.l. – Mille Miglia Community, Corso Torino, 1/7 - 16129 Genoa – Italy, by registered air mail.
Art. 3 - Applications: Aspiring 1000milers should first register on the website, community.1000miglia.eu, to obtain the user ID and password necessary to fill in the registration form. The act of filling in the form means that you acknowledge the fact that you will abide by the present DG. You will then need to upload the following online:
• recent photographs of the car
• original entry documents
• other original official documentation
• any documented historical articles or news items about the car, also those passed on by previous owners
Art. 4 – Renunciations: Partial or total renunciation of participation in the Community must be communicated in writing by the 1000miler to MAC Events. Fees are not refundable.
Art. 5 - The Privacy Law: In accordance with Italian law n° 196/03 protecting the confidential nature of personal data, the name of each participant is inserted into a database, the sole proprietor of which is MAC Events. MAC Events or companies under its supervision may use the information contained therein to send (via post, phone, or internet) informative material about their activities or advertising from Mille Miglia sponsors and/or partners in ATI MAC Events. In accordance with Art. 7 legge 196/03, clients, or whoever is in the database, can access, modify or cancel their data at any time. If they wish to oppose any usage of their personal data, they can do so by sending a registered air mail letter to MAC Events, Corso Torino, 1/7 16129 Genoa - Italy.
Art. 6 - Additional and/or Informative Communication Bulletins: The Mille Miglia Community, under ATI Events, reserves the right to make known to all participants, by means of the above bulletins, any eventual changes or additions to the present general provisions and to the programmes, as well as information and explanations for better understanding the above.
Art. 7 – MILLE MIGLIA trademarks, logos, industrial property rights, copyrights and services offered by third parties through the website or by links to third party websites: Be aware that none of the above is public domain. Being registered for the Mille Miglia does not confer any rights to the registered trademarks “MILLE MIGLIA”, “1000 Miglia” or its logo nor any authorization for use of the above. You also hereby vouch that you will not claim ownership, license, or use of the above. In addition none of you will use or register names, trademarks, or other distinctive signs in combination with the names or registered trademarks of the “Mille Miglia” and/or easily confused similar graphics.
The title and the copyright of the website community.1000miglia.eu (this includes, but is not limited to images, photographs, animation, videos, audios, music, integrated texts relating to the present website and included material) are the property of MAC EVENTS as the mandatory head of the ATI and/or its licensees, and are protected by the copyright law and international treaty arrangements. Copying and/or reproducing material contained in this website is not permitted.
Some of the services offered on this website may include material belonging to third parties or links to third party websites. You have been informed and accept that the ATI cannot be held responsible for the examination or for the evaluation of the content or of the accuracy of this material or of the third party websites. The ATI cannot guarantee or confirm or have any responsibility for the material or websites of third parties, nor for other material, products or services of third parties. The links are there for your convenience. You must accept that you will not use material from these third parties in any way that can infringe or violate their rights, and that the ATI will not be held in any way responsible for any use in this sense on your part.
Art. 8 - Pertinent Laws: The present general provisions are regulated and interpreted according to Italian law.
Art. 9 - Forum of Exclusive Jurisdiction: For any controversy regarding interpretation and/or execution of the present general provisions, the competent authority will be the Court of Law of Rome, Italy (il Tribunale di Roma), to the exclusion of anyone else.
Art. 10 – Only persons of 18 years of age or over may register.
